Halloween Festivities!

Last night we went to the Halloween party at the yacht club and it was great! It was supposed to be a "trunk or treat", but due to the terrential rain it all had to be brought inside, but it was still a blast. They had the pavillion decorated like a haunted house and tables set up so that the kids could go around and get candy. I thought Luke was going to be scared but he was actually very brave! I think he was a little overwhelmed. I was so glad to be able to participate in some of the festivities with him and see him all dressed up because most likely I'll miss it on Friday! So, here he is, cowboy Luke!

P.S. You'll notice that as the night went on various pieces of the costume came off!

Showing Gigi and Patchy Joe all the loot!

Luke and Lawson, a.k.a. Cowboy and Dracula!

Luke wanted to show Lawson this scary man looking thing in the ball but sweet little Lawson was NOT interested! Or, perhaps it was Patchy Joe's face that startled him a little :)

(Just kidding, Dad!)

Busy week...

So, this week I had 2 doctor's appointments and they both went pretty well. Friday was really great because we had another ultrasound. It was just amazing to see how much she had grown since the last ultrasound at 24 weeks. She is already 6 pounds and you could see her chubby cheeks...surprise, surprise! My blood pressure was down as well so it was all good news (finally)! I am still 2cm and 50%effaced so she could come at anytime now and she would be fine. What a relief :)

I was also able to go on Luke's field trip to the pumpkin patch on Wednesday which I was so grateful for. I feel so bad that if Britton is born on the 30th I will miss the Halloween festivities with Luke this year, so I am soaking as much of it up now as I can! He had a great time and has not let his pumpkin out of sight since! He got to feed goats and horses and then we went on a hayride and got to feed the cows, oh my! Of course, it was a record high that day...nothing like picking pumpkins when it's 90 outside!

Sip 'n' See

This weekend, Mom and I finally had the Sip 'n' See party for the twins that we have been wanting to have for months now. As it turned out, this probably worked out for the best because Henry and Zack are at such a cute age right now. They both put on a show and really enjoyed all the attention! This was just such a great way to get to show them off!

Here is Alicia getting her practice in...she's due with twins in April!

Henry on left, Zack on right...

Oh, and here is a picture of Luke "helping" me take my blood pressure :)

Trying it out...

Well, like I don't have anything better to do, I've decided to dive into the blogging world! I'm new at this, so bear with me! The doctor has put me on modified bedrest which really means no working and taking it very easy, so I figured this might occupy my time. Little Britton will make her big arrival no later than October 30th (induction date) but I'm already 2 cm so she might just come before then. I am also starting to have trouble with my blood pressure again so I have to see the doctor twice a week and will be sure to keep everyone posted on anymore changes! Here are a few pictures of the nursery...the only thing we have left to do is to hang the letters above her crib. Other than that, we're set! Please keep us in your prayers as we want Britton to "cook" for as long as possible!
